This competition area is an optional one and does require an additional $50 entry fee. To apply for this award, you must submit an official school transcript along with 2 letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, school administrators, etc. and a short cover letter, introducing yourself. A separate group of judges will select the winner of this award.
The winner of the academic achievement award wins a $10,000 scholarship and the first and second runners up win college scholarships of $6,000, $4,000 respectively. All others who enter the academic achievement competition receive a $2,000 scholarship. (All scholarships courtesy of Newman University.)
