Newman University is a coeducational Catholic liberal arts institution offering associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees. Newman University is offering the winner of the academic achievement award a $10,000 scholarship. The first and second runners-up in academic achievement will receive a $6,000 and $4,000 scholarship, respectively. All contestants who enter the Academic Achievement optional will receive a $2000 scholarship.

Pete Rohleder holds a Personal Training certificate through SCW Fitness Education and has nearly completed his degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Sports Science. Though he has only been personal training for 3 years, he has 8 years experience in the field. He is the trainer who helped Kim McDowell win Swimsuit at Mrs. Kansas and Trinity Wright win swimsuit at Miss KS USA
